Pregnancy Testing and Ultrasound
The Hope Center offers medical services to help confirm your pregnancy if you are pregnant, or think you might be pregnant. Through medical grade pregnancy testing and ultrasound, we are able to accurately confirm and date a pregnancy. Having this information is the first step in making an informed decision.
A medical pregnancy test checks for a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) that is produced by the embryo during pregnancy. HCG is a hormone produced by your placenta when you are pregnant. It appears shortly after the embryo attaches to the wall of the uterus. If you are pregnant, this hormone increases very rapidly. If you have a 28 day menstrual cycle, you can detect HCG in your urine 12-15 days after ovulation. The best time to take a test is just after your missed period. Testing sooner can lead to conflicting results.
Once a pregnancy is confirmed, our trained and qualified Client Advocates will provide you with a safe space where you can ask questions, gather additional resources, and take time to weigh the benefits and risks of each option. Facing an unexpected pregnancy can be overwhelming, we are here to help.
