Why Do I Need an Ultrasound?
Obstetric ultrasounds can help determine:
How far along you are in your pregnancy
If the pregnancy is viable
If a pregnancy is located inside the uterus
(If there is no intrauterine pregnancy, you may be experiencing an ectopic pregnancy, a life-threatening condition that requires immediate emergency medical attention.)
If you are considering abortion, an ultrasound is an important health and safety step that can determine how far along you are and what options are available to you. Our ultrasounds are performed by a registered nurse. After the ultrasound, you will be able to speak with a nurse to get answers to your pregnancy-related questions and learn about all of the pregnancy options that apply to your situation.
